Maintaining Healthy Water Kefir Grains

Multiplying/ Feeding your Water Kefir Grains....It’s very important to regularly feed your grains with fresh filtered water & more cane sugar every 24 to 48 hours. This will also encourage them to multiply. If this happens, you will be able to split your grains to either make more water kefir, milk kefir, second ferment (with frozen fruit of your choice) or even make Kombucha! (Kombucha is more carbonated than water kefir & maybe why it is more of a hit with the kiddies) but both very refreshing! 
If the kefir grains run out of food (sugar), this effects the balance of the water, yeast & bacteria created by the fermentation process. This of course makes your water kefir less effective. 
I adore my Water Kefir, it was very simple to build it into my daily routine. Now my gut has got use to it I can drink more of it each day to build up that good gut bacteria to help fight those seasonal germs 🦠
