Homemade Suffolk Chaste Berry Tincture

For most of you, Chaste Berry Tincture maybe not something you have never heard off. If like me, you love looking into alternative ways of managing good health & wellbeing...then this is another great product to try. With any herbal alternatives you need to understand these are only herbal supplements and should never replace the advise of a medical professional. Although, always worth trying the natural way first!
Chaste Berry is also know as Vitex Agnus-Castus.

It’s quite a long process then my other herbal actually takes 2 to 3 weeks to process.

Did you know Vitex, the name of the largest genus in the Verbenaceae plant family, includes 250 species worldwide? History tells us that Vitex agnus-castus is the most common vitex used medicinally.
This is classed as a fruit, otherwise known as chasteberry or monk’s pepper.

A little bit of history....Chaste Berries is produced by the chaste tree, which acquired its name because its fruit was likely used to decrease men’s libido during the Middle Ages. (Something, I need to look into further me thinks he he 😂) However, evidence shows herbs are commonly used by women.

This fruit is very versatile, many uses for each part of the plant to treat different types of symptoms. In this instance, we are only using the peppercorn like berries.

This product is commonly known to help with:
🌾premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
🌾menstrual disorders
🌾 breast pain and tenderness
🌾menopause (this is most popular and well-researched attributes of Vitex agnus-castus is its ability to reduce symptoms of PMS)
Female hormones rises approx 2 weeks before your menstruation. So It’s believed that the berries MAY help regulate estrogen & progesterone.

Of all the herbal supplements mentioned in connection with PMS symptoms, chasteberry (Vitex agnus-castus) has gained the most traction with scientists for easing PMS-related breast pain.

For me, as I’m getting older my monthly cycles is causing me so many problems...from severe cramping, extremely low mood, headaches & heavy bleeding. I have consulted the GP and they feel satisfied that there isn’t no real concerns from there end. So its a case of trying my best to self manage. So that’s why I was very keen to give this a go! Maybe this will help you too!
